The main focus here was to create an informative poster about bonfire and firework safety, but to have it aimed at a wide audience from young children to adults.
Here, you’ll see two drafts. I realised in the first draft on the left, that there wasn’t any images to make it appealing to children.
After a revision, a fire vector was planned to be added to fit the theme but due to the volume of information, the design was later changed to be landscape to space things out better.
The use of a brown background goes well with the orange and cream fonts chosen to represent the colour palette of bonfire night.
The thumbs up and thumbs down vectors were chosen as I felt they related to people’s conceptions more than the fireworks idea would.
